The Arrogance of Ignorance is a work of non-fiction focusing on Christian themes and cultural societal issues and was penned by author Heidi Stampley. Subtitled “Radical solutions to the things that hold you back”, the work encourages readers to explore the fall of current society and the dumbing down of the world around them in a critique of topics ranging from reality TV and the nature of fame through to social media, marriage, and relationships. Written with a strong perspective of Christian principles and getting back to God, the work also encourages us to look within and discuss what is actually important in life and get back on track with that.
Author Heidi Stampley has crafted a comprehensive Christian guidebook that is sure to make many readers keenly aware of the pitfalls of modern life. The narrative skill of the work makes it feel as though you could be putting the world to rights with a friend, and I’m certain that like-minded readers will find themselves nodding along in agreement as Stampley takes on the vapid, show-off and empty parts of our culture which so many people uphold as the ideal. I liked the chapter structure and I felt that the chosen topics flowed well from one to the next and built up the overall viewpoint, which is one of getting back to basics and things which really matter to our hearts, minds, and souls. Overall, I would certainly recommend The Arrogance of Ignorance to Christian readers wondering what on earth has happened to the world these days.
