The Adventures of Oliver the Clownfish: Sticky Fins by Stephanie Guzman is a children's story teaching youngsters the lesson of never taking things that don't belong to you. The story starts out with explaining why children steal, and different ways to handle the situation if it ever occurs with your child. Oliver helped Ozzie the Octopus to understand that even though he thought it was funny to take people's things as a distraction in school, it was not right. Ozzie had eight legs and it was really easy for him to take things that did not belong to him. Ozzie enjoyed the attention he received when the other fish had to look for missing things during class time.
This story was nice with the animation and the way Oliver tried to help Ozzie understand how it made the others feel when their things went missing. This story is a must-read for small children because, typically, they want things that don't belong to them. This story made me realize that sometimes children do things just for kicks and attention without ill intent. The story was simple, although it packed a huge lesson within the storyline. This short story is deserving of five stars because it was written with the simplicity needed for a child to understand. This story was very well written and fun for young kids. Stephanie Guzman did a great job with developing this story!
