Ten Amazing Bible Stories is a collection of tales from the Bible written and illustrated by Wanda Snow Porter, who aims to teach children about God's love and faithfulness. It begins with the story of creation and the fall of man in the Garden of Eden. It then dives into the tale of Noah and the Ark, the Israelites leaving Egypt, and famous prophets like Elijah, Elisha, and Ezekiel found in the Old Testament. Next, it includes stories about Daniel in the lions' den, Jonah's journey to Nineveh, and finally, the cornerstone of the Bible, the birth of Jesus, the prophesied messiah. Ten Amazing Bible Stories is a lovely collection that encapsulates defining moments in the Bible. The stories are simple to understand and easy to follow. Wanda Snow Porter provides summarized versions of each tale and the corresponding Bible verses. The collection is non-denominational hence, it can be read by all groups of Christians or anyone curious about the Bible. I liked the book's simple and consistent format, making it visually appealing. The illustrations also added to the appeal as they are colorful, eye-catching, and fit into the stories. Porter is an incredible artist, drawing clear and unique pictures. They reminded me of murals found in children's classrooms. Beautiful work. It can be used as a beginner's guide to teaching children about Bible characters, and it can also be utilized in children's church classes or as a bedtime storybook.
