Tears in a Bottle: Hearts Crying Out for Hope is a work of fiction in the interpersonal drama, Christian fiction, and social issues subgenres. It is suitable for the general reading audience and was penned by author Cheryl Gerou. In this highly emotive and heart-rending novel, we find ourselves located in Sugar Crest, a place where many people find themselves struggling through the difficulties of life. Issues of grief, loss, the breakdown of relationships, and money troubles are discussed, amongst many other trials, and we discover a heartfelt message about how the faithful can trust in the Lord to help them, even with the little things that they think He might not even care about.
There are books that we may read for escapism and enjoyment, and then there are books that we read because they help us see our own struggles reflected and, in some ways, these works can be truly cathartic and help us to heal. I believe that author Cheryl Gerou will provide that for many readers with this heartfelt novel, particularly those who may have fallen upon hard times and find their faith in God, those around them, and the healing power of time has been shaken. The messages at the heart of this work are deeply felt, the dialogue and narrative are superbly well penned, and the pacing of the various plot events takes us through a very human journey with a powerful sense of spirit at the core. Overall, Tears in the Bottle is a recommended read for Christian fiction enthusiasts everywhere.
