Taylor Lynne: The Women of Merryton - Book Two is a Christian romance by Jennifer Peel. Over fourteen years ago, Taylor and Easton married and divorced when Easton cheated on Taylor. Taylor packed up their toddler (a daughter who is now sixteen) and swore she would never come back to Merryton. Easton remarried, had another daughter, and got divorced a second time. After his second divorce, he decided to make amends and wants to spend more time with his eldest daughter (a relationship that withered because of the jealousy of his second wife). He asks Taylor to move back home to Merryton for their daughter’s sake. But Taylor isn’t sure if she is ready to return to the place that shattered all of her dreams. What if she discovers that things have changed over the last 14 years? Especially the anger and negative feelings she’s held for Easton all these years?
Taylor Lynne: The Women of Merryton is a really sweet romance about forgiveness and second chances. I love that Jennifer Peel wrote a romance about a broken family. It was very refreshing to see two young daughters within the story. Peel did a nice job of showing how other family members are often affected by divorce. I love second chances and stories with happy endings, and it was so nice to see a male father figure who realized his mistakes and made an effort to be a dad to his daughter. Peel brought all of these values into this story without being preachy or overly mushy. It was a great balance and a fun read.
