Super Mom by Zarinah Curry is a children's book, giving us a bird's-eye view into the lives of moms everywhere. Based on the length and word use, I would recommend this book for children ages 5-8. The story is told through the eyes of Super Mom's kids and that adds an extra touch of cuteness for those moms out there who are longing for the appreciation all their hard work deserves.
The story is told through simple rhyming patterns which highlight what a mom's day is like when she's busy taking care of all her little ones. It's never too early to start showing your kids what you do every day. Most kids know their mom can handle anything, but they don't see all the little things she does to make them happy and loved. Super Mom is a hats off to moms (and dads too) who are the warriors that make sure shoes are on the right feet, backpacks and lunches are packed, and that everyone gets to the right soccer, dance, and violin practice on time.
Kids and moms alike will love Super Mom and hopefully be able to spend some quality time appreciating each other, all thanks to Zarinah Curry. I loved everything from the cover to the last page. I actually wouldn't mind getting a shirt that looks exactly like the mom's shirt on the cover. It's so cute and would make me feel like a million bucks with the kiddos (though it would have to read Super Aunt for me!).
