Star Hunter: Creating Space by William Welton is a sci-fi adventure that begins with a gathering of disgruntled crew members and passengers that had spent their life's savings to travel on board the luxury cruise space ship, The Golden Dragon; destination New Earth. They had left the chaos on Earth for a three-year trip to New Earth. Two months into the journey, there were concerns about the food and fuel. The ship's captain has his own agenda and plans for most of the human cargo on board, who would not need food that wasn't there to begin with. With the help of his security officer, Brian, the captain's plan is to sell the passengers into slavery at an asteroid mining base.
The hero of the story is David Hunter, a musically inclined Nano-tech engineer, who escapes in a small pod into Indigo space where his consciousness rises to another level. He gets rescued by the pirate ship, Dark Star, whose captain is more like Robin Hood. Hunter is welcomed into a crew with like minded individuals that are also creative thinkers. They join forces to free the crew of the Golden Dragon from the Asteroid base.
