Some Miracles Need a Mom: Developing Your Child's Future by Sandy McKeown is an inspiring Christian book about the pursuit of miracles. In this book, Sandy (a mother of four) shares the unseen miracles that happened in her family, in the privacy of her home. Sandy talks about Mary, the mother of Jesus, and the miracle that happened at the wedding in Cana when Jesus made his first public miracle: he turned water into wine. The author of this book believes with all her heart that the miracle at Cana would never have happened without Mary. Thus, this book is filled with the good and bad moments and miracles in which God was at work within her family. Sandy tells how she contributed to those miracles in order to empower all Christians and readers to stand firm and fight for positive futures for their families.
Some Miracles Need a Mom by Sandy McKeown is a wonderful, raw, and vulnerable account of the highs and lows of being a devoted parent and Christian. It's also a beautifully written exploration of the complicated bonds between parents and children. But most importantly, it's a reminder that smaller miracles are still miracles. I really appreciate Sandy McKeown's courage to talk about her family's most difficult challenges: depression, autism, an alienated child, years of sleepless nights, and dealing with hopelessness. This uplifting book gives parents the wisdom to confidently guide their children to find their way despite their early struggles. Some Miracles Need a Mom can be a great blessing on your journey as a parent.
