Suzanna Williams is a perpetually eighteen years old YA author who lives in the wild, wet, Welsh borderlands surrounded by ruined medieval castles and Celtic mythology where she looks for UFO’s amongst the stars and imagines all the people she meets have dark secrets.
When she is not inventing radical problems for her unsuspecting heroes and plotting their escape, Suzanna is a serial collector of random badly paying jobs and has never found a use for her BSc in Psychology whatsoever.
As a child, Suzanna filled notebook after notebook with stories and her first taste of writing success was a poem published in the local newspaper aged just nine years old. She has written and directed several plays and pantomimes before publishing her debut novel, ShockWaves, in 2012.
Suzanna loves sci-fi action adventures, playing the piano, believes Romeo and Juliet should have talked more and considers sarcasm to be the highest form of wit.

In ShockWaves by Suzanna Williams, a high-octane YA novel that clips along as fast as our thrill seeking free-runner hero, English teen and foster kid Lee finds himself tangled in a nasty web of kidnapping, terrorism, and explosions. Told in head-long cinematic fashion, ShockWaves is sure to delight fans of Alex Rider and I am Number Four.
When a new kid joins the foster home, Lee expects this experience to be very much like the last —- several items being stolen -— but Paige, the lone survivor of a tragic accident, turns out to be unlike any foster kid he's ever encountered. Their connection goes much deeper than mere attraction. They're connected telepathically, a connection that comes in handy when Paige is kidnapped by an IRA terrorist. Using every skill on hand, including quite a few Parkour moves, Lee rushes to save her before the terrorist can finish his sadistic plot.
I could easily imagine ShockWaves as a Hollywood movie (perhaps starring Alex Petyfer) because the action is fast paced, the dialogue is snappy; mix in a dash of love and loads of Parkour and you'd have something great for those hot summer days. Since I'm American and ShockWaves is set in England I did occasionally have some trouble with the phrases but that in no way hindered me from enjoying the fast paced plot. I hope we'll get to enjoy more telepathic adventures with Lee and Paige soon.
