Many turtles get injured because of human activities. Maya, Alex's supervisor and an experienced biologist, shows her a turtle with strange markings on its shell. Alex and her friend, Avery, decide to investigate the mystery and help the turtles.

Welton skillfully portrays the unique relationships among these dedicated and passionate wildlife defenders. The book offers valuable information on environmental issues and how to resolve them. The plot has an enthralling twist and psychological depth. I highly recommend this beautifully illustrated book to all caring nature lovers.
