Little Bunny's Mommy is baking for Granny's party and Little Bunny wants to help. Little Bunny helps to scoop the cookie dough. The cookies are done and they are shaped like circles. Little Bunny and his Mommy make brownies next. Little Bunny helps to cut them and they are shaped like squares. Little Bunny wants to mix the granola and his Mommy tells him that they have to cut the granola bars before baking them. When they break these apart, once they are done, the shape is a rectangle. Little Bunny helps to roll out the dough and his Mommy tells him how his Granny likes scones. The shape is like a triangle once they cut it. Finally, they make little cakes called petit fours and cut these into diamond shapes. Can you remember the names of the shapes mentioned in this story?
Shapes (Little Bunny Series) by Dianne Miller is a delightful book that introduces children to shapes in a fun and interactive way. There cannot be a better way than this to introduce children to shapes and they will enjoy the moments with Little Bunny and his Mommy. The illustrations are as wonderful as the book and they will help young readers connect with the author's words easily. This entire series is educational and teaches children many things without making it boring and difficult.
