Sex God: An Erotic Adventure of Self Discovery by Matthew Armstrong introduces us to Alex Sterling, who has a marriage and a life that is just not as fulfilling as he had hoped it would be. That is when he decides to suggest to his wife Angela they do something one might consider improper. The journey that happens next is one of dark passions and even darker places. Alex finds himself about to lose everything, including his mind.
This is an erotic book that borders on erotica but does not quite cross the line. There is a lot going on, not the least of which is what Alex asks his wife to do. While I myself could never do this, I can see why Alex - in the place that he finds himself in his life - would want to. Matthew Armstrong has written a hot and complex book that has a lot of layers, even if it uses the hotter scenes as the vehicle to drive everything. It is interesting to read a book with sizzling content written by a man and mostly from a man's point of view, not usually how it goes. At the end of the day, however, this is a very good read, a page turner that kept me interested. If you are looking for something hot and steamy with a firm core to go with it, this will be the book for you. Make it your summer read and make sure you have a cool drink!
