Seekers: The Winds of Change is a young adult epic fantasy novel by Troy Knowlton. After a failed attempt to assassinate the Sovereign of Wisdom, Lunaris, Seekers of the Argan Archive, Tyras and Oren, are sent on two separate missions. Lunaris sends Tyras to the Koterran capital of Damarel to gain information about the Conduit. Meanwhile, Oren sets off to hunt the Death Crow, Yata Suchikara of the Syndicate. As the two young Seekers embark on their specific quests, they find unexpected allies with similar goals. While the Koterran High Commander's daughter Serana Delmoor accompanies Tyras to the Storm Kingdom to seek an audience with the Pharaoh, Oren gathers allies of his own to find Yata's employer. Now, the Seekers must traverse mortal danger, betrayal, and loss as they try to prevent a devastating war.
Fantasy lovers rejoice for Seekers: The Winds of Change provides a delicious mix of creative worldbuilding, breathtaking action sequences, and awe-inspiring magic to keep them entertained from start to finish. Author Troy Knowlton builds a sprawling world full of varied lands and cultures that feels lived-in and thoroughly immersive. The author's keen eye for detail makes the story all the more compelling to read as you find yourself completely hooked by the intricacies of the plot and the clever twists and turns. The dynamic between the two groups feels organic, and the banter and camaraderie between the friends carry a lot of emotional weight. I thoroughly enjoyed Seekers: The Winds of Change. Recommend to young adult fantasy lovers.
