Scent of an Angel by PK Davies is a fascinating collection of poetry that takes readers into the world of angels, spirituality, and unseen spirit guides in a magical and enchanting way. The poetry collection has been divided into four sections: Innocence - child of the universe; Disenchantment - world of shadows; Hope; and Surrender - avatar. The poet's fascination with fairies, angels, elves, and magical spirit guides, and her yearning for the divine and the magical are palpable in her writings and will make readers look at human connections with new perception, and encourage them to expand their personal and universal compassion. The poems in this book are a good way to make sense of life and the healing transformation through various forms, and the angelic guides that transcend religion.
The poems in Scent of an Angel by PK Davies are simple and whimsical. I like the way the formatting has also been done, giving extra weight to the way the poems sound and feel. They are also exquisitely worded, adding to the magic of the poems. I found it difficult to choose a favorite poem because each one of them is enchanting and special in its own way, and will make readers feel the magic in her words. It is an endearing collection for all poetry lovers who love angelic themes and the vibration of positive energy.
