Sanctity of Season by Carla Cilvik is a collection of enlightening and inspiring poems. Carla Cilvik provides poetry for each season of the year and a small collection of miscellaneous poems to round out the book. The poetry is heartfelt and her appreciation of nature’s majesty is clear in these writings. The author not only sees, but has an emotional response to the nature around her. This small book of poems enables you to take a break from reality and enjoy the quietness and stillness of being alone with yourself and your own thoughts. This will appeal to anyone who loves nature, loves to sit silently and reflect, and anyone who appreciates listening to the innermost thoughts of another human being.
Carla Cilvik has poured her emotions and her essence into the poems contained in Sanctity of Season. Her style of poetry is free flowing and contemplative. The emotions are raw, yet tender, ranging from subdued to excited at all the wonder around her. Sitting and reading this poetry is relaxing and thought provoking at the same time. Grab a cup of tea and find a seat outside, then enjoy the soothing thoughts of Carla Cilvik. Some of my favorites were The Journey, Inside the Stillness, Looking Up and Shifting in Season. Carla Cilvik’s poetry evokes an emotional response and allows you to take a memory journey of your own, and I found that very satisfying. If you enjoy poetry, you will enjoy this book of treasures.
