In a true insider's look at the aftermath of the life and death of the legendary singer and Rat Pack member Sammy Davis, Jr., author Pamela Sherrod has done a wonderful job in presenting a true story that many readers may not be aware of in Sammy Davis, Jr.: The Writer Who Saved His Estate. Tracing the history and background of the events that placed the famous singer's estate in jeopardy, and all of the actions and interactions that had to take place in order to secure the estate for Mr. Davis' heirs, this book takes readers on a wild ride of legal wrangling that shows the emotional toll on those nearest and dearest to him.
I so enjoyed Sammy Davis, Jr.: The Writer Who Saved His Estate. Author Pamela Sherrod has a unique viewpoint of this entire situation, and was able to show just how difficult the potential loss of this amazing man and entertainer's estate was for all involved. I was unaware of the roller coaster that Sammy Davis, Jr.'s family went through and author Pamela Sherrod's telling of the story made me feel as if I was a part of all the heartbreaking issues that came up. Any reader with an interest in Sammy Davis, Jr., the Rat Pack, or stories regarding legal issues should definitely read this book. I am pleased to recommend this book, and will look for more from the very talented memoirist, Pamela Sherrod, in the near future.
