Ronan preferred his apartment home to his Granma's big old house. His Mama and Dada had insisted they go and live in Granma's home till his vacation was over and Granma got better. His Mama had told him endless stories about how she and her friends played in the wonderful garden but the garden was now overgrown and there were more weeds than flowers. Ronan hated it and he sat in his bedroom with his toys. He was halfway through an interesting experiment with his LEGO blocks when his Granma called him. He left the blocks in his room and went to Granma's room. She was bedridden now and told him that Ronan and his Mama should help Kusum clean the place up. Granma told Ronan how her garden was beautiful once upon a time and how now it was all grey and ugly.
Ronan's Dinosaur: The Tale of an Unlikely Friendship that Changes a Boy's Life by Nadishka Aloysius is a heartwarming story of friendship and readers will find the adventures of Scoot the dinosaur and Ronan adorable and charming as Scoot introduces him to new adventures and new friends and helps him gain self-confidence. For all those readers who love adventures and dinosaurs, this book will definitely entertain them. Manoshi de Silva gives life to the story and characters with her wonderful illustrations, making them palpable to readers. Nadishka Aloysius's writing style is descriptive and elegant and she conveys a lot of positive messages through the story of Ronan, weaving them into the plot effortlessly which makes it easy for youngsters to understand. Ronan's Dinosaur is an excellent storybook for children to understand the difference between the outlook of adults and children, deal with their anxieties in a positive way, and experience life better no matter where they are.
