The fictional account of a true story, Rock and Roll Murders: An Entrepreneur Finds That Murder is No Business Solution, written by Phillip Bruce Chute, is an intriguing tale. Alice Barro experienced poverty as a child and a young woman. Raymond McDade was the owner of a local radio station and was sixteen years older than Alice. Attracted to his wealth, Alice married him despite their age difference. Ray achieved his wealth by dodging taxes, cheating the utility companies, paying his staff minimum wages, and other nefarious activities. He placed many demands on Alice, expecting her to work countless hours without ever taking a vacation. To compensate, she found solace in the arms of lovers, sparking jealousy in Ray. Her indiscretions fuel his jealousy and eventually lead to a shocking murder.
With well-developed characters and an engaging plot, Rock and Roll Murders: An Entrepreneur Finds That Murder is No Business Solution is a captivating novel that keeps you guessing until the final page. There are many twists and turns in this book by author Phillip Bruce Chute. Despite their complexity, the depiction of Ray's schemes, financial and legal complications are coherent and easily understood by the layperson. How the local law enforcement discovered the details and evidence about the murder was intriguing; the trial also had many exciting moments. Together, all of these aspects create a stunning book that will thrill those who love to read about actual events that prove truth is stranger than fiction.
