Teenagers face a whole lot of challenges in their daily lives. They have to deal with normal things like parents, friends, schoolwork, and maybe even outside work. But they also have to deal with things like peer pressure, bullying, societal expectations, parental expectations, peer expectations, personal expectations … are you getting the impression that there’s a whole lot of expectations going on here? In Rising to Unbreakable Confidence: A Teen's Guide To Building Lifelong Self-Confidence By Harnessing Your Inner Power And Finding Your Authentic Self, Ben L. Triumph talks directly to teens about what they can do to beat the crush of expectations and feel confident in themselves.
One of the main problems with adults writing ‘how-to’ books for teens is that it often feels like a ‘been there, done that’ style but that’s not a problem here. This book reads as a comprehensive but comfortable guide from someone who is right there in the trenches with you, helping you to feel better about yourself and create the life that you want. Rising to Unbreakable Confidence by Ben L. Triumph is all about getting to know who you are and not only that but actually coming to understand and love that person. You do it by learning about things like self-esteem and self-worth, but also by learning more about some of the skills and traits that can help you feel more confident as you go through life. Things like goal setting and action plans and understanding that failure is just a part of life are all extremely important and Triumph explains these in a way that’s easy to understand and build on but doesn’t feel like he’s talking down to anyone.
