Redbird in the Poppies by Angela Geer-Gann revolves around Elizabeth Redbird's decision to escape from tragic family circumstances to make a new life in California. But can one truly escape the past, especially when it comes knocking unexpectedly? Drama, love, and friendship mean she must make the right decisions. The main characters in this book are Elizabeth Redbird, Amelia, Ned, and Scott Baker. There are numerous minor characters that pop their heads out from time to time as the journey into the lives of the two main characters, Elizabeth and Scott, unfolds. The twists and turns the two main characters find themselves in will have the reader walking away to dissect and evaluate the situation and do some serious thinking about their own lives and the twists that have brought them to their present situation.
Redbird in the Poppies by Angela Geer-Gann leaves the reader surprised at the end of the book but also gives them a lot to think about the various happenings in their own lives. The story really holds one's attention from the beginning to the end. The author has written a book that will keep the reader enthralled as there is so much insight and information. The reader may even need to take a break and think about all the information and emotions being thrown at them. This is a very insightful book, and it is also a very dramatic love story with a conclusion that will stun the reader. This book is well worth two or more reads and deserves a place in a library and on personal bookshelves to warrant more reads. Thank you for a delightful story; much appreciated.
