Ransom For The Many is a work of fiction in the suspense and thriller sub-genres and was penned by author William Petrick. Written for adult readers due to its complex and sometimes sensitive themes, the central plot takes place in the world of organized crime, stumbled upon by one concerned marketing guru who steps out of his comfort zone. The setting is the Haitian mountains, wherein protagonist Dean Seibold finds a startling operation being run out of an orphanage. As he digs deeper into dangerous territory, a charismatic and alluring social worker catches his eye, only adding to the intense problems and dangers which Dean is about to face.

Author William Petrick has crafted an excellent and compelling crime drama which is sure to provide plenty of suspense and thrills for fans of the genre. Mixing cultures makes for an interesting clash as Dean, a foreign interloper in these parts, realizes that his own sense of justice could cost him his life. One of the things which I enjoyed most in the reading experience was the characterization work, especially in the presentation of speech and thought. The dialogue offers much contrast in characters, emotions, and opinions, and Dean’s inner turmoil is exceedingly well portrayed the more that the plot thickens. In terms of the plot itself, the structure is well thought out to deliver many surprises and sticky situations for our hero to overcome. Overall, I would certainly recommend Ransom For The Many to all readers seeking a suspenseful crime drama with strong characterization at its heart.
