Rainbow Land by J. M. Huxley captures the essence of the colors of the rainbow. A little girl looks around her world and asks God if He is there. The little girl hears God speak clearly to her, yet she is challenged by the responses of others. As she grows up, she continues to question God’s presence in the ocean waves, the birds of the sky, and in the midst of the prairie. No matter where she goes, colors surround her. With each step of maturity, her heart continues to question all the wonders she sees. God replies to her faithfully, reminding her that He is the Painter of everything good and true.

J. M. Huxley pens a sweet tale in Rainbow Land. This children’s story is beautifully written. The language awakens the imagination with colorful vocabulary and a flowing rhyme scheme. Kate Zotova’s illustrations are vibrant and bold, complementing the storyline with an array of rainbow hues. The theme of the narrative is one of hope, promise, and inspiration. Huxley opens up the wonders of who God is with gentle persuasion. The expressive tone portrays emotion, child-like curiosity, and sensory awareness. The story is warm and inviting, touching the hearts of both the young and old. Rainbow Land is a book that will be read over and over again, from parent to child and from older children to younger ones. The lyrical message penned by J. M. Huxley will never grow old. Rainbow Land will be passed from generation to generation.
