Providence by Amy Marie is the third book in the Statera Saga. Nora has three of the elements at her side, but she's lost Darcy who is now cursed and under Lilly's control. The end of the world is fast approaching and they need to find the fourth element before it's too late. As she and her closest allies search for the fire element, she also seeks out a way to save her soulmate. She may get the chance if they can find a powerful necklace that could be the only thing to bring Darcy back to her, but getting to it before Lilly comes with more obstacles than she expected. Nora will do whatever it takes to stop Lilly's plan and will even go against her soulmate if it means saving his life.
The story is fast paced with lots of action, heartbreak, tragedy, and tests of friendship. The friendships she has are a key part of the story as they give her strength and guidance as more than just her allies. Her journey consists of two goals: save the world and save Darcy. So she's not only fighting for the world but for her soulmate who is cursed. The reality of actually saving Darcy is questionable and carried throughout as a major obstacle for Nora to face. Not knowing how to save him weighs on her while also leaving her feeling a little alone.
Providence explores what a soulmate means, primarily via Nora's feelings through this other pair as Marie incorporates a mirrored relationship when one of her friends discovers a surprise soulmate. Their relationship is only briefly seen but plays an important role, impacting Nora's story in a deep way. As with the first two books, Marie incorporates past lives and mythology into how everything unfolds. Nora dips into the past in search of further answers which lead her to a shocking revelation about how to fight the upcoming battle. Full of adventure, action-packed moments, and a test of a faith, Providence finds Nora in a fight to save the world and her soulmate, but with the reality of possibly not being able to save either.
