Susanna Rodgers Simpson shares lessons and wisdom that she has learned throughout her life in her book Practical Life Lessons. The title of the book tells exactly what she has included in the book. The lessons are very practical and apply to so much of life that most people experience. Many of her sayings are often heard but she adds to them and shows how practical they are. These lessons are pithy. One can learn much from reading this book. These lessons will encourage the reader to keep on keeping. Susanna breathes new life into age-old sayings. For example, the second lesson sheds new light on the proper interpretation of “spare the rod, spoil the child.” Shining fresh light on old wisdom is the strength of this book.

Whether reading the full lessons or just the highlights, one will be encouraged and blessed by having read this book. Susanna has written a page-turner that you will want to read more than once. Even though this is an easy read, the book is full of practical advice for daily living.
