Polly and the Peaputts by Rodo Sofranac is an adorable storybook for children that revolves around Polly, a little girl who is relatively small when compared to other small kids. Polly lives in a little village with her friends and family. Polly's family is big with Grandma, Grandpa, aunt and uncle, kids and parents. Kids make fun of Polly because of her size and all the teasing makes Polly very sad at times. How does Polly handle the kids and make them say kinder words? How does Polly make them understand that a smile is better than being rude and insulting?
It's a beautiful story with lot of nice messages and the concept is heartwarming. The illustrations are bright and colorful and set the tone of the story, breathing life into the scenes and characters. The message of being kind and not hurting others is conveyed in an excellent way, making kids understand it well. It teaches young readers to know love and also show it. The story tells readers how Polly and the Peaputts spread the positive vibe of loving and living.
Kids will love the Peaputts and it is motivating to see how Polly asks the other kids to say nice things when they speak to the Peaputts. Polly's parents are caring people who bring up Polly with positive thoughts and teach her the importance of using good words instead of hurting others with bad words. It is book worth owning because of its story and meaningful messages.
