The poems in this book are all inspiring. They speak of life, love and lore. The poems also are categorized under these three sections. A lot of poems are written in different forms. Form poetry had taken a backseat with the advent of contemporary poetry. For poetry writers who like to try out different genres of poetry, this book can be very inspiring. The Shakespearean Sonnet, Haibun, Haiku, Reverse Etheree, Acrostic Reverse Etheree, Pantoum, Villanelle, Rondeau, Palindrome, etc., are all there.

I liked the poems in the book because they drift from free verse to different forms which keeps the tempo going. Writing form poetry exposes the writer's disciplined writing. No one writes form poetry anymore, so it is a refreshing change to see them published. Another challenging type is the Byronesque dramatic monologue. The love poem inspired from the movie 'Titanic' is very romantic and lyrical and it can actually be set to music. A few poems are inspired from songs and mythological tales. Two poems are inspired after listening to Beethoven's 'Moonlight Sonata' and 'Fur Elise.' The poet's interpretation of Beethoven's music is exquisite. There is a Pantoum written after the story of the 'Leda and the Swan'. The sequence of Shakespearean Sonnets on Cinderella and the Palindrome are deftly penned. The Acrostic Reverse Etheree is an exquisite and well-crafted poem that again displays the poet's skill. Poems on lore are surreal and take you on a trip of fairies and angels.
