Peltar’s life had not been an easy one since his father’s death and his mother’s remarriage. He tried to get along with his stepfather because he loved his mother and she appeared to be happy. His stepfather treated him like a slave when his mother was not in sight, using a stick to beat him if he wasn’t working fast enough. The farm had been in his father’s family for many years. It was important to Peltar to restore it to proper order. Sadly, Peltar knew his life had little chance of getting better. Then he met Patience, a fairy. She shared with him the true story of King Arthur and his Kingdom. After revealing his true identity she took him to a special tree and led him to the Kingdom where he met the Queen and took his place as her protector.

I was excited to review this manuscript because I have always been fascinated by the tales of King Arthur, Merlin, The Knights of the Round Table, Guinevere and Sir Lancelot. The author places a unique spin on an old story. He introduces readers to the descendants of King Arthur and Sir Lancelot. The knowledge of their ancestors is passed along to the descendants which helped with the the story line. Peltar was a fantastic character as was Patience and the Queen. I did notice spelling errors in this book but they did not detract from my pleasure. I hope the author will turn this into a series of books.
