Paw Prints of Love is a collection of short stories on the themes of romance, created by authors Lisa Knight, Fiona Greene, Teena Raffa, Susan Dunn, Helen Walton, Leah Kinninmont, Jenny Lynch, Lisa Wolstenholme, Carolyn Wren, and P.L. Harris. All of the stories are set in the idyllic seaside town of Stonecrest Bay, where love blossoms in different forms for people who are going through different stages of their lives. From adorable pets causing trouble to old flames either sparking or creating yet more drama, there is something for everyone in this light-hearted and often pet-dog-themed collection of wholesome and romantic tales.
I enjoyed every story in this collection, and I felt there was a well-chosen balance in the authors and their styles because the stories never felt disjointed in moving from one to the other, even though they were all distinctly different in their approach. Some particular favorites for me included the lovely Judith in Puddles Valentine by author Carolyn Wren, who I rooted for from start to finish, and Jake’s Dilemma by author Susan Dunn, which had a great emotional capacity for the highs and lows of interpersonal drama. Everyone will find something that they fall in love with in these sweet tales that can be devoured with a coffee and a cozy chair, and if you love dogs as well, all the better for their cute intrusion into every tale. Overall, the authors each deliver something really special and heartwarming in the excellent Paw Prints of Love.
