Paleo is the root word for “Paleolithic,” which means the Stone Age era from which the Paleo diet is derived. The caveman diet consisted of meats, fruits, herbs and vegetables - they lived off the land. Paleo Diet by James Parker takes you back to basics in how you purchase your food, being careful as to what you eat and how you prepare your meals. In this type of diet there's no processed foods, sugar, salt or other harmful things that we consume daily like alcohol and coffee. This book will educate the reader on the various aspects of becoming a part of the Paleo culture. Here you will learn everything about the Paleo diet, from the history behind this lifestyle, the concept of the diet and the various delicious recipes, to the foods you should eat or avoid.
In today's culture, people are eating in a variety of ways from vegan to Paleo. I tend to dabble between the vegan, smoothie and Paleo way of eating based upon my day, and what my body says. Protein is great for your diet and can stimulate weight loss, but it must be a part of a balanced meal which includes fruits and vegetables. It is great that James not only provides you with delicious recipes like the Easy Beef Kabob or the Herb Grilled Chicken and Sweet Potatoes, which provides you with a full and satisfying meal, but if you must have a snack, James recommends homemade beef or turkey jerky, nuts, seeds, or hard boiled eggs. I can't wait to try some of these dishes. Great work. To your health!
