Obscure Narrative: A Poetry Collection is a collection of poetic works in the introspective, philosophical, and psychological subgenres penned by author Heider Broisler. The work is intended for the general adult reading audience and contains some subject matter that may be difficult for more sensitive readers to handle. What results is a highly engrossing poetry collection that is sure to keep readers thinking about the works within it long after the reading experience is over. The collection contains more than seventy poems across a variety of themes, but all of the works possess a deep-thinking style that explores different psycho-social themes from class to grief, aging, death, and the journey of life itself.
Author Heider Broisler has crafted a masterful collection of poetry with plenty of stylistic touches, poignant philosophical moments, and food for thought to offer readers. I enjoyed the shifting styles in the work, from more prosaic and complex ideas to the more formal verse styles of poetry, and I appreciated that the work never lost its lyricism despite these shifts. For me, several poems spoke to pertinent issues, fears, and dreams that I have. For example, "Poems between Bars" really stuck with me for its poignancy, visual quality, and raw expression of pain. The book was also beautifully presented to a high standard, making it a gorgeous addition to any collection and something eye-catching that people will want to indulge in again and again. Overall, I would highly recommend Obscure Narrative: A Poetry Collection to fans of thought-provoking poetry, beautifully penned lyrical ideas, and for emotive, psychologically-minded readers everywhere.
