It is fundamental to have communion with God to find peace and true happiness. Often, daily difficulties take us away from what is most precious, such as our inner connection. So, it is necessary to take a moment for personal reflection and contemplate the beauty of nature. Jenny L. Cote inspires us to seek this divine connection with our environment by sharing her life experiences and love for the sea. In Now I Sea, she describes her experiences and travels to iconic places such as Alcatraz and the Dead Sea, among others. In each chapter, she offers a new lesson about love, friendship, and self-improvement. However, she does not avoid complex subjects such as anger or disappointment, relating everything to the teachings of the Bible to increase our faith.
I liked Jenny L. Cote's honest and clear writing style. Her stories are captivating and full of love. From the beginning, family togetherness is a subject that stands out, with the story about her father's sailing dreams. She also speaks about daily life, work, and relationships, which allows us to identify with the lessons she learned in her travels. The detailed descriptions of the places make you feel as if you were there, observing sand of different colors and the imposing sea. The photographs, although few, are beautiful and meaningful, giving a perspective of how wonderful this world is. In addition, the information is real and well-documented. Now I Sea is an inspiring work, ideal to motivate you to change, grow, and move forward.
