C.D. Bryan has written an excellent introduction to his Flight Knight series. In his first book, No Aliens Allowed, the three children are introduced. Parker, along with his friends Hanna and Mark, are being chased by bullies when they stumble upon an alien crash site. They receive five boxes that will change their very beings. These boxes are sought by the government, as well as by alien forces, and the children will need to protect them as well as each other. Throughout the story that follows, adventure is quick, surprises abound, and the future will never look the same. Join Parker, Hanna, and Mark as they embark on the first adventure as Flight Knights. And remember, no aliens allowed.
This is an excellent beginning to the Flight Knight series. It is fast paced and there is absolutely never a dull moment. The entire book takes place in the space between the end of school and sunset. There is less violence than I expected for a book about children fighting aliens, but that does not take away from the story in the least. If you enjoy fast paced sci-fi action, this is the book for you. It will take you on a journey that will excite and energize you. C.D. Bryan is an excellent author. No Aliens Allowed is an excellent sci-fi book and most preteens would love it (boys especially).
