Attorney Andy Carpenter loves dogs and earned the nickname “Lawyer to the Dogs.” His most recent client is Waggy, a Bernese mountain puppy. Waggy’s master Walter Timmerman was murdered. Waggy is caught between Diana the widow and Steven her step son. Andy takes temporary custody of Waggy. Dianna is killed in a bomb blast.
Andy agrees to defend Steven when he is accused of Diana’s murder. Tara (Andy’s golden retriever) is the perfect role model playmate for young Waggy. After Andy’s girl friend is shot while playing the with dogs, he realizes that the target was Waggy all along.

This is the first book I’ve read by author David Rosenfelt. It won’t be the last . The characters are exquisite. Andy and his canine friends make this book a fast, easy, and entertaining read. This book is filled with humor, action, and adventure. If you enjoy a courtroom thriller with a unique wag of the tail you’ll love this book.
