Mystical Adventure of Ashley Sprinkler is a fantasy adventure novel written by Sherlina Idid. Nine-year-old Ashley Sprinkler's happy life at her grandmother's cottage in Kuala Lumpur turns upside down when her father, a professor, loses his life in a car accident while escaping a magical cyclone. Moreover, her cats Dash and Bob, alongside the pet rabbit Billy, find themselves transported to Coventry, England. A ten-year-old girl named Valerie finds them and takes them to Mother Reddy, who starts experimenting magic on Billy. However, soon the Three Weird Sisters take Mother Reddy captive, leading Valerie and Billy to undertake a rescue mission. Meanwhile, the Weird Sisters stake their claim on the Enchanted Gardens Realm, leaving Prince Jeff with no choice but to retaliate. He seeks Ashley's help to fight the Sisters and take his rightful throne.
Mystical Adventure of Ashley Sprinkler transports you to magical realms filled with talking cats and rabbits, evil witches, princes, and much more. Author Sherlina Idid builds a wildly imaginative world resembling the likes of Chronicles of Narnia, and it fills you with a sense of wonder and awe that is hard to shrug off. Sherlina Idid uses a multiple POV narrative, with a large cast of characters who fulfill their roles to move the plot forward. All the characters feel colorful, with distinct quirks that make them all the more entertaining. The pacing seems a bit slow, but it only adds to the easy accessibility of the story. I will recommend Mystical Adventure of Ashley Sprinkler to kids of all ages.
