My Sermon Notes Journal is an organized manner in which to keep notes concerning sermons that you heard. You could use it for sermons that were special to you. My suggestion is to use it each time you Worship. The format is simple and easy to use. You fill out the pages for each sermon. Included are places to record the date, speaker, title of the sermon, the Scripture and notes. This is not a book to be place on a shelf to look pretty; it must be used regularly to get the full benefit from the journal.

My Sermon Notes Journal made me think of my mother-in-law. She was a dear lady, devoted Christian, and a journal keeper. After she passed away, we found journal after journal filled with scripture verses and prayers. She would have loved My Sermon Notes Journal. I will place my copy of My Sermon Notes Journal with my Bible and take it to worship each Sunday. Someday perhaps my children will look back lovingly at my thoughts and comments. This would make a precious gift for a mother or grandmother.

I originally found this journal while visiting Greg Laurie's church, Harvest, in Riverside, CA. I loved it so much that I wanted one for a friend. I wouldn't take notes if I just had a blank notebook in front of me, but this had great guides for taking notes.

Every week in church I take notes on the sermon and after the service is over, I ask the pastors my questions. Before I got this book, I simply wrote these questions on loose scraps of paper and bulletins. Since I got this book, however, it has helped me keep all these notes together and organized. I can tell when the sermon was, what the topic was (without having to guess from the notes), what the scripture was, and which one of my pastors preached it. It has been very helpful and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to be able to keep up with previous sermons. I have had this for about a year and am planning to buy another one when this one is full.

I highly recommend 'My SErmon Notes Journal'. It is a light weight spiral note book that fits neatly in a full size bible, a purse, brief case, tote bag... This journal gives you 54 days of structured note taking and offers helps to apply what you learn from the sermon throughout the week. It can also be used for special speaker events.
Each lefthand page has a bible verse at the top. There is a space to note the date, place, speaker, title of sermon and key scripture. Each facing page has prompts for the coming week such as how will the message impact your life.
Reviewing your journal is a great way to track your progress. It is small and convient but a very powerful tool in your arsenal of spiritual development. It is also a great memory aid when you want to recall key points of that sermon you loved three weeks or three months ago.
