My Little Green Umbrella by Sandy Little is a charming story about childhood imagination. One day a little girl asks for the green umbrella she finds in a thrift shop. She leaves the store with the umbrella, and the wonderful adventures begin. The umbrella not only stops the rain but brings out the sun. As the girl grows older, the umbrella is left in a closet and forgotten, until the next young child finds it and the magic begins again. This is truly a celebration of the childlike wonder that all children are born with. A simple object can become so much more in the eyes of a child.

My Little Green Umbrella is a story that will captivate young listeners. Sandy Little has captured the essence of a child's imagination. Kids can dive wholeheartedly into their make-believe worlds, and that is exactly what happens with the girl and her umbrella. The soft pastel illustrations by Tom Lintern add a cheerful and playful quality to the story. Each spread is full of delightful touches. My Little Green Umbrella will resonate with kids but will also bring back fond memories for the adults sharing the story. I enjoyed the fact that the umbrella also has a memory of the magical times it has spent with the children. Little ends the story beautifully. My Little Green Umbrella is the perfect story to cuddle up with on a rainy day. Don't be surprised if your little ones will want to get an umbrella of their own after reading Little's tale.

Can a little green umbrella have a big impact on the lives of a family? Sandy Little’s My Little Green Umbrella follows a young girl as she grows up in her home and creates adventures with an umbrella she found in a store. She imagines all these scenarios, one being that her umbrella protects her from invaders trying to get inside her amazing castle. But every child must grow up eventually, and the umbrella ends up sitting in the closet with nothing but coats and shoes ... until it is found again by a young boy who uses the object for his own fun. The umbrella eventually finds its way back into the closet for a long time, until someone from years before pulls it out to use it once again.

My Little Green Umbrella is a heartwarming read that focuses on family and the memories that even the smallest of objects can hold. Although the umbrella goes through stages of both use and being forgotten, someone eventually finds it again. The illustrations throughout this book were so detailed and vibrant. I loved staring at each page and watching this magical story play out in a visual way. Children’s books tend to be so enjoyable for me because of how much fun they are. I am really glad I had the opportunity to read this sweet book. I highly recommend My Little Green Umbrella by Sandy Little to all young children; it’s a whimsical read that readers are sure to connect with in some way!

When a children's book reaches the hearts of both adult and young readers, it means that the tale it tells is truly extraordinary. My Little Green Umbrella by Sandy Little is one of these books, and it is remarkable not only for its story but also for its beautiful images. The adventure of the little green umbrella begins the day a little girl enters a thrift shop with her mother and buys it. From that day on, the girl and the umbrella will be inseparable. They will climb a pear tree that, in the girl's imagination, becomes a castle and sail across the ocean in search of treasure. As the little girl grows up, the little green umbrella seems doomed to oblivion, but someone is ready to discover it and experience its magic once again.

Children's imaginations are inexhaustible and always a source of surprise for many adults. My Little Green Umbrella tells about the ability of youngsters to know how to create a world of their own, starting from an object that, for us, could appear as insignificant as a green umbrella. Sandy Little tells a beautiful story full of delicate feelings, as well as an enchanting atmosphere. I remembered myself as a child while reading about the adventures of the little protagonist with her unusual playmate. I am sure young readers will be fascinated by the story of the little green umbrella and will be inspired to try the power of imagination after reading this book. I recommend it to all dreaming children and adults who want to start dreaming again.
