What child does not like animals? Children can spend hours just looking at animal pictures. D. A. Batrowny capitalizes on this fact and has authored My First Zoo Animal Book. From the Mandrill on the front cover to the Blue Parrot at the end, children will be entertained while learning about the various animals. From the title of the book, the animals in this book obviously live in a zoo. Batrowny writes simple text below each picture so young children can read about the animal presented. The text is easy enough for beginning readers. Older children will also love the photos and learning about the animals. Exposing children to all types of animals and teaching them the importance of caring for nature helps develop loving and caring adults.
Since nature provides life for us, it is only fitting that we take the time to teach our children how to love and care for nature. My First Zoo Animal Book is an excellent tool for teaching children about animals that one most only sees in zoos. D. A. Batrowny shares some of the most outstanding photos of zoo animals. These photos are up close and personal. The reader will feel as if they are right next to the animal. Included in this book are pictures of birds, reptiles, and mammals. For example, the image of the Snow Leopard makes you feel as if you are nose to nose with it. Snow Leopards are such beautiful animals. This book will not only provide hours of enjoyment for your young child, but it is an excellent platform for discussing the various animals. This discussion can provide time to hold your child in your lap as you teach them about the animals and even try to mimic their sounds.
