Murder In Wyoming (A Rebecca Bauer Hotel Mystery) by Julia Rohatyn is a delightful sleuth murder mystery. Rebecca's boss, Hanley, has sent her to Red Butte Dude Ranch, a resort in Wyoming. One of Hanley's army buddies owns the ranch and hasn't been well enough to run it the way he wants. To help him out, Hanley is considering an option to purchase it, but the spa's income is dubious. As his hotel manager, Rebecca's job is to determine if the ranch is suitable for Hanley's corporation and if it has the potential to be solvent.
Soon after her arrival, Rebecca finds a body floating in the spa pool with her. She and the victim had flown in on the same plane, and they had checked into the ranch around the same time. Most importantly, Rebecca is found alone with the corpse. Now, she is the main suspect. Before Rebecca can settle into her room and consider how to convince the police of her innocence, she is involved in an unfortunate mishap that appears to have been a vicious attempt to harm her. In view of her accident, the killer seems to be gunning for her. Does the woman's death correlate to the ranch's questionable finances? Can Rebecca find the murderer before she becomes the next victim?
