Hudson does a great job of incorporating the story’s main themes about faith and love into Sadie’s journey. The story takes an honest look at grief and the effects of hardship on a marriage, providing practical lessons through the characters’ lives. I found the beautiful setting immersive and Sadie's and Ander’s experiences of confronting the problems they face inspiring. Mule Springs Saga by Judy Hudson is a deftly layered historical novel with rich themes and fascinating characters. It is a beautiful offering delivered with exceptional skill that will encourage and resonate with readers.
