Misunderstood Bob: A Comedy of Modern Day Errors by Cassey Day is a unique story about an unproductive worker, Bob Fulton, who is given the task of delivering a proposal to a law firm office. What follows is a comedy of errors because he buys a lottery ticket on the way and arrives at the office when it's already closed. Getting inside through a door used by utility workers, he manages to complete his task. The only problem is that he drops it in the wrong box. Realising his mistake a day later, he also finds out that he delivered the wrong documents. Losing his wallet, which was a gift from his late mother, when he stopped for dinner that evening, Bob now has to correct the two big mistakes of his life.
Cassey Day's Misunderstood Bob: A Comedy of Modern Day Errors starts innocently enough by introducing readers to a poor young girl and her mother who win the lottery and a flashback to someone else also winning the prize. It then shifts to Bob Fulton and his misadventures in the course of doing his job. And as the title suggests, a comedy of errors follows in quick succession. This is one character with well-defined flaws but surprisingly enough, he is quite likable, even though his errors may well destroy one company and result in him losing a prized possession. Cassey Day definitely has a unique sense of humor that borders on the obscene, but it is quite refreshing. This is one book that is different and fun to read!
