As for Mirabelle's Forest Garden, it is inspired by our own gardening work. As a family, we tend a 7 by 7 meters miniature permaculture garden where we practice work-play and nature immersion and with small Mirabelle role-players now aged 4 and 6.

Mirabelle’s Forest Garden is an interactive children’s adventure book, written by Ina Curic and illustrated by Kinga Kelemen. Mirabelle is a young girl who loves flora and fauna. When she decides to create her own magical forest garden, Mirabelle seeks out the help of her peers, asking advice from friends and relatives about the types of plants which would benefit the local area and the people and animals nearby. Soon the forest garden becomes a community effort, and people are excited to see nature’s beauty unfold before their very eyes, benefiting both the planet and those who live on it.
Ina Curic’s brilliant tale of how a young girl can take gigantic steps in making the world more environmentally friendly, starting with her own back yard, is one of the most positive I have read to date. Not only does Mirabelle’s Forest Garden tell an interesting and exciting story, but the educational value it provides knows no bounds. Information about beneficial plants, landscapes and the animals which can enjoy the bounty of it all is vast, not only in illustration, but also with extensive information about each. Whenever Mirabelle is unsure of something, she asks somebody who can provide her with insight into each area of the garden that she is trying to develop for the community. People around the world can easily benefit from this book, which appeals not only to children but to adults alike. I thoroughly enjoyed Mirabelle’s Forest Garden and I wholeheartedly recommend it to readers of all ages, in the hopes that it might build a growing interest in saving our planet.
