Cory and Simone broke up two years ago and he still got angry when he thought about her. He tended to judge women by how Simone treated him.

Emily had recently purchased the shop next door to Cory’s. The newspaper ran a feature article on her. The reporter had twisted her words making it sound like she was against all tradition. It was obvious that she’d made at least one shop owner very angry. He’d written a scathing letter to the newspaper challenging her to join him and other shop owners at Court House Drive. Never one to pass up a challenge Emily grabbed her tool belt.

Cory was impressed with Emily’s work. She didn’t utter a whiny or complaint when he sent her to the basement to clean up. There were sparks between them when he touched her hand.

He couldn’t resist asking her out on a date. Cory was used to dating women that were self focused. Emily was different, she focused on him. He found himself thinking of her all the time. Emily wasn’t sure she ever wanted to marry.

Midnight Frolic is a delightful romance. Author, Loree Lough is extremely talented. She manages to create a heartwarming romance in only 85 pages, an almost impossible feat. I actually cared about the characters. Rosie would make the perfect mother in law. This in a short story fans of romance will not want to miss.
