Menap 2089 by Panther Optikonz is written extremely far into the future when the whole world has been ravaged by war and the landmasses as we know them have changed. The main characters are the Rozz (Police) and the Prestoopnik (Criminals) that are at war with each other and are found in both good and bad organizations. Some of the characters are Detective Patrick Magee, Inspector Donovan McNabb, and Captain Warren Clarke, while other characters are Philip Stoner, Audubon Kissel, Lord Perrineau, and names that are reminiscent of biker gangs.

Menap 2089 by Panther Optikonz is a most unusual book. The author has taken a subject matter that is a favorite with many writers and brought a futuristic angle to it, even to the extent of inventing a new language. At first, reading the book with this new language can cause a bit of confusion, but once you get used to the new words and what they mean, it then starts to make sense. It brings to light how confusing it can be when hearing Cockney rhyming slang for the first time in London. The author has disguised some of the more racy scenes well with the language invented.

The author captures your attention from the first chapter to the last. It is a very interesting read but quite daunting in places. Menap 2089 by Panther Optikonz is about gangs, drugs, those in charge of the gangs and drugs, and those who are trying to prevent the distribution of not only drugs but the abuse and misuse of humans. The author has even introduced magic and ritual prayers and actions, all intermingled with a range of people trying to survive in a world that has become 'all for yourself and never mind who you stomp on while on your way up and what waits for you at the top.' The book ends rather surprisingly. It leaves the reader wondering what will actually happen to the main characters as well as the new ones introduced toward the end. It was an interesting read and would be enjoyed by those readers who love science fiction.
