The second installment in a series, Memoirs From The Road To Everywhere Vol II: Wild Boys and Girls Of The Road by Sebastian Jaymes is a memoir of the author’s adventures working as a tour manager for artists and celebrity entertainers. As a live show technical director, a producer of special events, and tour manager for celebrity artists, Sebastian Jaymes got to travel a lot and to have access to behind-the-scene information about celebrities that isn't available to ordinary fans. When the narrative opens, he is in Egypt, "a refugee, fleeing a former position as the tour manager of a group of celebrity entertainers known for their pop hits and high energy stage shows... in Las Vegas." The author takes readers around the world as he tours celebrity entertainers, bringing them to great places, sharing unique and enriching experiences like working for The Boss's NBC TV show.
Whether the author is talking about the bright openness of California as opposed to the dull sameness he'd left behind, or one quirky detail of his life like living for long without his own bed or stove, the reader feels the sincerity and the bon-vivant and adventurous spirit of the narrator rubs off easily on the reader. The writing is beautiful and insightful, with many lessons in the entertainment business, and many lines for readers to ponder on like: "Eighty percent of life is just showing up…and, it’s not really rocket science…" This is the story of someone who loved what he did, even if it was challenging at times. The humor enriches the narrative and makes it irresistible. A tale for readers who enjoy adventure and entertainment.
