Lost Time by J. T. Bishop, the sixth book in the Redstone Chronicles, will appeal to fans of crime drama, suspense, thriller, mystery, and paranormal fiction. Mason and Mikey Redstone's father, Martin, is missing. The siblings and Trick Monroe rush to Texas to find and bring him home. Once again the Texas Rangers and now the private investigators, Mason and Trick, must face a formidable enemy, Ruben Montes. Is he behind the possible abduction of Martin Redstone? The Redstones and Trick learn that Martin has been investigating something in his small office, but they cannot find his laptop. Mikey senses a dark and threatening presence in Martin's house, while a mysterious ghost disturbs Mason with visits. Will Mason and Mikey reunite with their dad?
J. T. Bishop's Lost Time is an enthralling paranormal mystery with a touch of family drama. The author shows the importance and true meaning of family connections. Bishop compares the warm relationship between Mason and Mikey to the relationship between Ruben and his sister, Gloria, who compete. But filial duty is the driving force behind the plot. Bishop offers the engaging and sometimes heartbreaking backstories of the characters, like Trick's self-doubts and struggles to help his mother, Pamela. I liked the witty, heartfelt scene where Mason demonstrates his gift to Ranger Lauren O'Donnell. For me, every encounter with Bishop's amazingly complex characters is like a meeting with good friends. The dialogue is convincing and full of sparkling humor. The book has a gripping element of suspense. The narrative is dynamic, and the plot is rich with captivating action scenes and incredible twists and turns.
