Little Twinkle loved shining every night even though she was just an itsy bitsy star. Thousands of friends and family members of different sizes and shapes would join her to glow in the night sky. Her friends, Mr. Sun and Mr. Moon, were bigger and brighter than her. Little Twinkle spent more time with Mr. Moon than she did with Mr. Sun. Little Twinkle was curious to know why they came out and shone every night. Mother Star told her that they were created by God on the fourth day of creation along with the Sun and the Moon, and they were all created for a purpose. They were made to shine bright in the night along with Mr. Moon and their job was to help humans tell night from day and to be for signs, seasons, for days and for years as they come and go. Little Twinkle realized she had an important job to do. Mommy Star then told her the story of the Star of Bethlehem and the Son of God.
Little Twinkle Learns Her Purpose by Lisa Ann Panzino-DiNunzio is a wonderful story that will teach young readers about God, Jesus, and God's love. Ken Corson makes the story come alive with his colorful and meaningful illustrations and makes it easy for readers to understand the author's words. It is a good storybook to use in Bible classes to lead youngsters to Christ in an interesting way and make them wonder about their purpose in life, just like Little Twinkle finds out her purpose. It is a good story for parents and tutors to read out to children to help them easily understand about Jesus and the concept of knowing their purpose in life. Books like this are such good tools to teach children about God, and his love and presence in everybody's lives. The author also shares some Bible verses about the things Mother Star has explained to Little Twinkle in the story.
