Liminal Space is a sci-fi mystery thriller by Vicki-Ann Bush. After recently breaking up with her boyfriend, Jessie Marshall feels she needs a break. Jess travels to Primm, Nevada, with her best friend, Micah, hoping to clear her mind amid the scenic deserted landscape. However, things start to unravel after Jess and Micah witness a woman covered in blood screaming in the hotel's casino. Additionally, the two friends discover that the town they had previously seen from Room 629 has inexplicably disappeared. Meanwhile, Jess' boyfriend Gideon has returned, and the trio is joined by the screaming woman's husband, Simon, who wants to learn the truth behind his wife's death. An escalating chain of events has the four unlikely friends transported to a mysterious world with two suns. Will Jess and her friends be able to return home?
Liminal Space takes readers on a surreal sci-fi odyssey full of mystery, suspense, and thrills. You never know what to expect as each turn of the page brings more mysteries and shocking reveals that keep you on the edge of your seat with bated breath, and you're unsure if your favorite character will make it out alive by the end. Vicki-Ann Bush masterfully keeps the reader in the dark for a major portion of the book, which only builds more suspense and intrigue, but it pays off well toward the end. There are also parts of the story that will appeal to horror lovers. The characters, especially the four main leads, are likable and have a compelling dynamic, which makes it easy for the reader to root for them. In conclusion, this is a fantastic mystery thriller. Sci-fi readers will have a blast!
