Life And Death Behind The Brick And Razor Code-Red Diamond by Isaac Alexis is a very informative book that parents must read if they have teenagers or children just starting middle or high school. The book is about his work in correctional medical facilities and what he has learned over the years. The author shares his personal experiences and makes a very compelling case for teenagers to rethink the choices they make. Isaac Alexis talks about how hard it is for the inmates to live a healthy life while incarcerated and how health problems can become more difficult over time. But it is not limited to that. Dr. Isaac Alexis also talks about drug addiction as not just an issue inside incarceration facilities but everywhere else. He urges teenagers to respect their bodies and make the right decision for themselves. Achieving your goals becomes much easier if you understand your body, protect it from any harm and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
The author chooses his words very carefully to drive his arguments home. By sharing his own struggles with readers, he makes it easier for us to understand what he wants to convey. I felt a connection with the author who made it easier for me to take the advice and apply it to my life. He doesn’t just share tips; it is apparent that the author did his research and shares what he knows best. This book is like a wake-up call that we all need yet never get. Life in a correctional facility cannot be easy and it can take a toll on the minds and bodies of the people inside. This book will be helpful for the whole community as it offers information to educate and enlighten people about what can happen and how young people can avoid it for a better future.
