Life And A Glass Of Milk is a collection of poetry written by Vansh Sharma and illustrated by Swapna Sharma. The importance of honesty, the anguish of losing someone you love and the aspiration of journeying across the seas are just the beginning of what Sharma has to say about the deepest meanings of life. Words of inspiration, the grief of losing a pet, and an unsettling dream of crime can be found in these poems written by the sure hand of a twelve-year-old youngster as he finds inspiration in the world around him. The sky, the changing seasons, every breath and emotion has a place in Life And A Glass Of Milk.
Vansh Sharma has filled Life And A Glass Of Milk with some of the best poetry I have had the privilege of reading. The life experiences he addresses are the equivalent of some of the most talented writers today. The level of skill can easily be seen in every single line. Sharma readily describes the simple things like the sunset and the sunrise, dreams and several inspiring words that keep the reader fascinated. The illustrations by Swapna Sharma are a delightful complement to the beautiful poetry. I recommend Life And A Glass Of Milk to anyone who loves poetry. Simple things, like the beauty that can be found in a single fingerprint, are expressed with profound meaning and deep emotion. On a personal note, if this is the kind of work that can be seen from Sharma when he is encouraged by those around him at such a young age, I can’t wait to see what the future will hold for this bright poet as he grows up.
