Let's Fly is a collection of poems by Greg Grant. The book covers many topics that address everyday living and people. The author talks about treating people with disabilities and vulnerable people like street children as humans who have opinions and add value to society. He also discusses friendship, family, Christmas, sharing, love, and acceptance. He appreciates nature, the serenity of clean air and peaceful living. Some poems are about specific people like Luke, a baby boy who will change history, a good man named John, and an invisible man who helps the police solve crimes. Reading Let’s Fly took me on a roller coaster of emotions, from sad to happy and from angry to excited. Every poem will make you feel like you are never alone, and you will think about your life and the people around you. The poems are relatable, and Greg Grant’s personality can be felt in the overall calm and conversational tone. He uses simple words that are easy to understand. I loved the book’s consistent format and design. The book cover is beautiful and peaceful, which perfectly fits most of the poem’s themes. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves reading poetry. This is a great read to add to your reading collection.
